A long time ago, in a galaxy far away I got several mix recipes that you’re supposed to make up in large quantities and then bag for later usage. Most of the recipes are for things that you would buy in a box (cake mixes, brownie mixes, etc). They were all given to me by a relative or friend of my Mom. I’ve subsequently lost the original copies of the recipe, and have had to rely on really old computer versions (I’m talking 5 1/4 inch disk here) of those recipes. I’m going to call them heirloom recipes and see if it sticks.
Anyway, this recipe has been adapted from the Heirloom Brownie Mix recipe (wow, that sounds really cool, doesn’t it?) to allow for making the brownies all in one step. When we bother to make these (instead of using a boxed mix) they’re usually gone immediately, so they’ve been taste-tested by my kids and their friends and have the Hectic Kitchen Seal of Approval (wow, we’re sounding all official and such now, aren’t we?).
All joking aside, these are really good and not that hard to make. Enjoy!
