It’s Fall sports season! Football, volleyball, soccer have all begun in earnest. School isn’t even in session but the teen athletes around here are prepping for the first contests in just a couple weeks. Before you know it Football Fridays will be a thing. And Volleyball Tuesdays/Thursdays. And Soccer Mondays. If you’re anything like me, you love to watch your kids compete. I get a kick out of seeing my kids perform on the sports field! But honestly, it makes it really difficult to get meals on the table. For close to 30 years I’ve been battling this dilemma…so I guess I have some experience.
I have a load of slow-cooker recipes that I use, but honestly you can’t really get away with that on every game night. The Hectic Family would revolt if I tried that. Over the years I’ve discovered a bunch of other recipes that I can use on game nights to keep mixing things up.
