Baked Ziti Casserole
Ingredients
- 16 ounces Ziti
- 1 medium Egg
- 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese
- 4 ounces Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 28 ounces Spaghetti Sauce
- 16 ounces Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Cooking Spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Cook ziti according to package directions
- Drain pasta and set aside
- In mixing bowl, beat egg with the wisk or fork
- Add ricotta and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- Stir until mixture is uniform
- Spray casserole dish with cooking spray
- Spread 1 cup of spaghetti sauce in casserole dish
- Spread 1/3 of ziti on bottom of casserole dish
- Spread 1/2 the ricotta mixture over the ziti
- Spread 2/3 cup of mozzarella over ricotta
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese over mozzarella
- Pour 1 cup of sauce over mixture
- Spread 1/3 of ziti over mixture
- Spread remaining ricotta mixture over ziti
- Sprinkle 2/3 cup of mozzarella over ricotta
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese over mixture
- Pour 1 cup of sauce over mixture
- Top with remaining ingredients
- Cover casserole dish with foil
- Bake for 1 hour in preheated oven
- Serve
