🎬Favorite Christmas Movie Recipes

Y’all ever have a really great idea and then discover that everybody and their brother has already executed on it?

A while back I was formulating ideas for our Dinner and a Movie series, and I thought about doing a post about recipes inspired by Christmas movies. You know:

Ralphie’s Mom’s Turkey…The Bumpus’ Hounds Special
Meatloaf, Beetloaf
Roast Beast from the Grinch
Clark Griswold’s Eggnog
Kevin’s Special Mac ’n’ Cheese
Judy’s (I’m seeing someone in wrapping) Homemade Hot Cocoa
Anything from the Four Main Food Groups from Elf: Candy, Candy Canes, Candy Corn, or Syrup

It was a genius idea.

Just not very original.

So instead of regaling you with a bunch of recipes that are essentially rehashes of other recipes (that are descendants of other rehashed movie-related recipes)…I’ll give you some links to other lists. Lists of movie inspired recipes to go along with almost any Christmas Movie you can think of.

I say almost any Christmas Movie, because I didn’t find a single recipe related to Die Hard nor The Princess Bride. Both are definitively Christmas movies (proof from the writer of Die Hard and supports the theory that The Princess Bride is a Christmas movie). But despite those glaring omissions, these lists are pretty danged complete!
