Let’s face it, there are times when you just don’t have time to make everything from scratch. More often than not, I end up making Au Gratin potatoes from a boxed mix. They are good. In fact, I sometimes think my family thinks they are the only way to eat them. I usually modify the directions a bit, but they’re pretty much direct from the box.
But I developed this Au Gratin Potato recipe from a Scalloped Potato recipe that my grandmother gave to me years ago. I don’t know where it came from before that, but knowing her it probably evolved a lot over time.
When I take the time to make these they go over pretty well at the Hectic Household. Hopefully they will for you too!
