Jambalaya
Ingredients
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 medium Red Bell Pepper
- 1 medium Green Bell Pepper
- 14 ounces Smoked Sausage
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 2 cloves Minced Garlic
- 28 ounces Crushed Tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon Hot Pepper Sauce
- 2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 pound Large Raw Shrimp
- 6 cups Cooked Rice
Instructions
- Chop onion
- Chop bell peppers
- Cut sausage into 1/2-inch slices
- Melt butter in saucepan over medium-high heat
- Add sausage, onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and garlic to preheated skillet
- Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Add tomatoes, pepper sauce, black pepper, and red pepper flakes
- Stir to completely mix ingredients
- Bring to a boil
- Add shrimp
- Cook 3-5 minutes until shrimp are cooked (opaque in the center)
- Add hot rice
- Gently stir to mix ingredients
- Cook 5 minutes
- Serve
