We’re all pressed for time. It’s actually pretty ridiculous when you think about all the things you try to do in a day. Nowhere can eat up more time than the kitchen. Meals don’t prepare themselves: There’s chopping, stirring and pot-watching. Plus you’ve got to plan the meals, do the shopping, and engage in a whole mess of tasks. If it was just preparing meals, it wouldn’t be so bad. But there’s the cleanup of the pots & pans. Dishes to wash. And the kitchen itself needs to be scrubbed to a sparkling shine. OK, maybe not quite that far…but you know what I mean. I’d venture to say that you could spend a third of your waking hours working on kitchen-related tasks and still not get it all done.
But nobody has time for that!
At Hectic-Kitchen we’re here to help. We’ve got an entire series of posts lined up to help you save time. From quicker grocery shopping to shaving minutes off prepping your produce, this series will provide you with a veritable cornucopia of ideas to incorporate use. Some of the ideas are fairly radical, most are pretty mundane. Some will save lots of time in one fell swoop, others will shave slivers of time off of continuously repeated tasks. You’ll slap your head and think “Why didn’t I think of that” to some, and you’ll be shaking your head thinking “He’s an idiot” for proposing others. No matter, somewhere in the series I’m sure you’ll find gems that will help. Ignore the rest…or better yet, comment on the post and share your insight with everybody in the Hectic-Kitchen community.
Our goal with this series is to help stretch your time a little further so you can get to the good part…spending time with your family.
So get ready for some fun, and in the meantime, make it a great day in the kitchen!
