I’ll openly admit that I’m not really much of an ingredient snob. I tend to buy the most cost effective items from the shelf. When it comes to flour, I’ve often treated it as a ‘commodity’, acting as if all flour products are the same. Over time I’ve discovered that there are differences, and in the realm of specialty flours and meals, you simply can’t beat Bob’s Red Mill products for value.

To make it even better, their website is first rate. They have an awesome collection of recipes worth browsing on a regular basis. Sometimes I use the recipes ‘as is’, other times they are inspiration for my next great creation. But in either case, I’m never disappointed.

This is a 5-star site! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

🍒 Bob’s Red Mill

Every week I find myself grabbing several recipes from Donna’s Instagram, Pinterest, or website. I have yet to try a recipe that I didn’t like, and more importantly I haven’t felt overwhelemed or out of my depth with any of them. If you’re looking to a site to your regular places to search for recipes, this is one I would absolutely recommend.

🍒 Hot and Cold Running Mom

I discovered King Arthur Flour by accident when one of my kids brought it home for a school project where she had the opportunity to bake bread. Prior to using this brand, I bought the cheapest flour I could get my hands on. Flour was a ‘generic item’ to me…there was nothing to set apart the brands. Boy was I wrong!

After using King Arthur Flour (in many variations from their awesome line), it’s now my go-to brand. I’ve used lots of their flours, ingredients, and mixes and every single one has been amazing! When I discovered their website I opened the door to so many ideas I can barely wrap my head around all of them.

When you need a new recipe or inspiration to spruce up an old one, check out their site! I know I’ve been giving out a lot of 5-star reviews lately…but this is another site where the shiny stars are well earned! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

🍒 King Arthur Flour

Every time I see a post on either the blog or Instagram from Shelly, I’m sure it’s going to be delicious. Not only that, her recipes are easy to make…which fits into my Hectic Life! That’s a huge plus (in fact, if a recipe is too hard to make I end up putting it away for ‘way off in the future when I have time’). I’ve never put one of Shelly’s into that pile. Never!

I love that the site is divided into categories right from the top, so I can drill down to what I’m looking for. Far too often I need to make, let’s say cookies, and I’ll get dragged down the rabbit hole of other ideas on other sites. Not at Cookies and Cups…I’m able to get in, get out, and have what I need. Of course, if I’m just browsing then I can do that too…and boy howdy, do I do a lot of browsing on this site. Right now I think I’ve got over 50 recipes from this site alone that I want to make.

Since baking is one of my weakest areas in the kitchen, this is one of my go-to sites for baking inspiration, direction, and ideas!

🍒 Cookies and Cups

Katie has created another one of my dessert go-to sites. I like that there’s a lot more than dessert here…but I’m in love with every dessert recipe that I’ve tried from her site. I find myself grabbing a recipe or two from her Instagram, Pinterest, or website every single week. Far more than I’ll probably ever be able to make…but I’m going to give it a shot! When somebody says ‘I love chocolate, where can I find recipes?’ this is the first site that comes to mind.
