Red Beans & Rice
Ingredients
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 medium Green Bell Pepper
- 2 stalks Celery
- 14 ounces Smoked Sausage
- 2 cloves Minced Garlic
- 30 ounces Kidney beans canned
- 14 ounces Chicken Broth
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
- Hot cooked long-grain white rice
Instructions
- Preheat skillet on medium-high heat
- Chop onion
- Chop bell pepper
- Chop celery
- Rinse & drain beans
- Cut smoked sausage into 1/2-inch slices
- Add sausage, onion, green pepper, celery, and minced garlic to preheated skillet
- Cook, stirring frequently, for 7 minutes
- Add kidney beans, chicken broth, oregano, and thyme
- Bring to a boil
- Reduce heat to medium
- Cook 15 minutes until slightly thickened
- Cook rice according to directions
- Serve
