Classic BBQ Pork Ribs

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Apple Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 8 ounces BBQ Sauce
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 250F
  • Measure out the foil so that it will entirely cover the rack of ribs
  • Lay the foil over the baking pan so that the middle third is on the pan
  • Spray the foil with cooking spray
  • Place the ribs onto the foil with the meat side facing up
  • Pull the edges of the foil upwards so that the liquid won't spill over the sides
  • Pour the apple juice or beer over the ribs
  • Add the mustard, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano to the mixing bowl
  • Combine all the ingredients until everything is mixed together
  • Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the meat
  • Fold the foil over the meat, sealing the foil as much as possible
  • Cook the ribs in the preheated oven for three and a half hours
  • Remove the ribs from the oven
  • Switch the oven from baking to broiling on low
  • Allow the broiler to heat for at least 5 minutes
  • Meanwhile, carefully open the foil over the ribs, taking care to not get burned by the steam
  • Fold the foil back to make a "wall" along all the sides
  • Pour the BBQ sauce evently over the ribs
  • Return the ribs to the oven under the broiler
  • Broil for five minutes
  • Remove the ribs from the oven
  • Allow to stand for 5 minutes before cutting the ribs apart
  • Serve
