Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 4 large Carrots
  • 10 small Red Potatoes
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1/2 head Cabbage
  • 4 cups Water
  • 4 pounds Corned Beef Brisket
  • 6 ounces Beer

Instructions

  • Peel the carrots
  • Cut the carrots into bite-sized pieces
  • Cut the potatoes into quarters
  • Coarsely chop the onion
  • Cut the cabbage into quarters
  • Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray
  • Put the carrots, potatoes, and onion into the bottom of the slow cooker
  • Pour in the water
  • Put the brisket on top of the vegetables
  • Pour the beer over the brisket
  • Sprinkle the spices from the corned beef packet
  • Cover the slow cooker pot
  • Set the cooker on High
  • Cook for 7 hours
  • An hour before serving, add the cabbage
  • Cook for 1 more hour
