Basic Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Minced Garlic
  • 2 pounds Ground Beef
  • 15 ounces Chili Beans
  • 15 ounces Diced Tomatoes
  • 6 ounces Tomato Paste
  • 2 tablespoons Chili Powder

Instructions

  • Chop the onions
  • Chop the bell pepper
  • Heat the oil in the skillet on medium heat
  • Add the onions, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the preheated skillet
  • Saute until the onion is soft
  • Add ground beef to the skillet
  • Cook until the beef is browned
  • Add the chili beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, and chili powder to skillet
  • Bring to a boil
  • Reduce heat to low
  • Simmer, uncovered, for 40 minutes
  • Serve
