Baked Ziti Casserole

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Ziti
  • 1 medium Egg
  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese
  • 4 ounces Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 28 ounces Spaghetti Sauce
  • 16 ounces Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375F
  • Cook ziti according to package directions
  • Drain pasta and set aside
  • In mixing bowl, beat egg with the wisk or fork
  • Add ricotta and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • Stir until mixture is uniform
  • Spray casserole dish with cooking spray
  • Spread 1 cup of spaghetti sauce in casserole dish
  • Spread 1/3 of ziti on bottom of casserole dish
  • Spread 1/2 the ricotta mixture over the ziti
  • Spread 2/3 cup of mozzarella over ricotta
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese over mozzarella
  • Pour 1 cup of sauce over mixture
  • Spread 1/3 of ziti over mixture
  • Spread remaining ricotta mixture over ziti
  • Sprinkle 2/3 cup of mozzarella over ricotta
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese over mixture
  • Pour 1 cup of sauce over mixture
  • Top with remaining ingredients
  • Cover casserole dish with foil
  • Bake for 1 hour in preheated oven
  • Serve
